Map of Futurism in thirty-eight countries

As a result of the manifestos, Futurist activities spread far beyond Italy and France and appeared across Europe and in other parts of the world. Manifestos were translated and published in the media. Letters and press statements were sent to various writers, journalists, and artists. Speeches, exhibitions, and Futurist happenings took place. Responses were both positive and negative. This map underscores the importance of publicity to the Futurists.
